Harley-Davidson produced about 70,000 WLA and WLC military motorbikes for the US army and their allies during World War II. WLAs were widely used by US army troops for courier and military police duties, and thousands were supplied to other countries through leasing agreements. Today, WLAs are sought-after collectors' items!
These motorbikes were nicknamed 'Liberators' in Europe because they were ridden by troops liberating their cities and countries from German occupation.
This Harley-Davidson was first registered in Sweden in 1986 and transported to the Netherlands in 2023.
