When you hear the word Corvette, you immediately think of American sports cars, speed, or perhaps the C8. This is a slightly less new one. Namely its over, over, over, over, over, over, over, over, over grandfather. The C1. This was the beginning of the Corvette, a beginning of a legendary series. In 1953, the first full-concept was exhibited at GM's (General Motors) Motorama at New York's Waldorf Astoria Hotel in January. Then that same year in June, the official 1st example for production rolled off the assembly line. In December, production of the 1954 model began at the assembly plant in St.Louis, Missouri. A total of 69,015 examples of the Corvette C1 were built over the years.

This beauty is a late 1st series with still its original matching numbers engine! It is the most popular and powerful engine available, namely the 5.4 liter V8 with 360 HP. It is mated to an optional 4-speed manual transmission. Originally, the Corvette was delivered with the optional ''Ramjet fuel injection'' system, but due to common problems these are often replaced with a carburetor. This was also done with this example and is a respected modification among C1 enthusiasts. The carburetor used is the well-known Edelbrock 1406 Performer 4-barrel with electronic choke, this ensures high reliability and very good performance!

Originally delivered in a tasteful color combination 'Tuxedo Black' together with a red vinyl interior. Both are in excellent condition. It was first registered in America in July 1962. Later it was imported to Germany. Here he has always been neatly maintained and this is also proven by the numerous invoices and inspections that are present. Also included is a hardtop. This is just like the car, executed in the beautiful 'Tuxedo Black'. In the interior, there is a lot of red. From the seats to the mats to the dashboard. The interior is truly a look back in time, pure American class at its best!

Engine-wise, there are no comments either. The engine works well, it drives great and shifts smoothly.

There is various documentation available. To begin with, there are a good number of invoices along with several inspections. In addition, there is also the German registration certificate present.

If you are looking for an American icon, look no further than this sublime and timeless Corvette C1 with the most desirable and powerful engine available at the time!
