The 3-series E36 was the third generation 3-series and succeeded the popular E30 in 1990 and was succeeded in 1999 by the E46 generation. The E36 generation came in many different body shapes namely the 4-door sedan, 2-door coupe, the touring, 2-door hatchback/compact and the convertible/cabriolet. Normally, the manual versions came with a 5-speed gearbox, but in the M3 version, a 6-speed gearbox was supplied. Also somewhat extraordinary, was the available 5-speed automatic transmission and the 4-cylinder diesel engine. With all these different versions, the E36 series was especially popular in Europe, while there was less of an audience for it in North America. In total, more than 3 million units were produced.

This is a 1997 BMW E36 318i convertible. It is finished in a specially ordered BMW Individual colour called "Ziegelrot". The paint is in clean condition. The interior is a nice fabric anthracite-grey upholstery. Underneath are "style 30" BMW rims that are in good condition.

The BMW was newly delivered in 1997 in Germany. The 1st owner was BMW itself who used the car as a demo car. Between 5 December 1997 and 22 December 1999, BMW itself put 12,550 kilometres on it. After this, it was sold on to the 2nd owner while retaining the factory warranty (purchase invoice is present), and finally ended up in the Netherlands in 2014. Since then, it has always been owned by its last owner, who has now helped the BMW to a odometer reading of 96,786km. This odometer reading is fully demonstrable through the available documentation.
