Austin discovered the Healey at the Donald Healey motor corporation booth prior to the 1952 Earls Court Motor Show.
Leonard Lord, then Austin director, bought Healey's production rights before the stock market opened.
The Healey was built by Donald Healey from Austin parts, which was ideal for Austin. Austin saw in the Healey the answer to the Triumph TR sports car from the Standard-Triumph concern.
The 100/4 was the first Austin Healey.
This beautiful '100/4' from the BN1 series was sold new in Tennessee USA. The car was imported to the Netherlands in 2012. The car was then extensively restored to top condition between March 2012 and June 2016. An extensive report of this is available. After this top restoration, it goes without saying that the paint and bodywork are in great condition. The fits of the sills, fenders, doors, hood, trunk lid and grille are perfect. A really top copy.
Since the restoration, the car has been carefully maintained. This magnificent Austin Healey is in very good condition and the car drives perfectly! The Healey shows as a picture and the engine compartment is beautifully detailed. The car is equipped with wire wheels and has Michelin tires,
The very nice color combination of 'Spruce green' with a green leather interior and green carpet. The dark green soft top, tonneau cover and side windows complete the picture.
If you as an Austin Healey enthusiast are looking for a beautiful and great driving 100/4, now is the time to enjoy this rarity.
