The Austin Healey 3000 came on the market in 1959 and production continued into 1967. The 3000 was the successor to its predecessor, the 100-6. However, the previous model had an engine with less displacement (2.6 liters) and less horsepower, compared to the 3000 which is equipped with a 2.9 liter engine.

During the 8 years of production of the popular Austin-Healey 3000, 3 different versions were released. These were the MK1, the MK2 and the MK3. Compared to the MK1, this MK2A comes with a number of improvements including; an engine with more horsepower, a different grille, improved hood, panoramic windscreen, ventilation windows, side windows instead of the insert side windows and an easy-to-operate soft-top. The production of this type, built in 1962 and 1963, counted about 6113 units.

An extensive appraisal report is available with a stated appraisal value of €60,000.
A total restoration took place in 2000, of which a photo report is available. The "Old English White" paint gives the car a sporty appearance and still has the famous "spoon-door handles". Together with the original, classic instrument panel, it fits well with the refined shapes of the “big Healey”.
The engine is well maintained and completely in order. The 131 hp engine, drives and performs properly, the power source has an aluminum valve cover, alternator, electronic ignition and twin SU carburettors. The interior looks neat and the black leather upholstery is still in beautiful condition. Then there is a small digital speedometer and in addition to the Brantz rally meter, the car has 2 fog lamps mounted on the badge bar of the front bumper. Spare wheel, wheel hammer and special jack present, furthermore a beautiful chrome luggage rack has been mounted on the boot lid, which combines nicely with the beautiful chrome wire wheels.
The body and paint are in neat condition with some minor signs of wear here and there.
