Triumph TR3A 1961

The TR3 is a car produced by the British car brand 'Triumph'. The TR3 is the successor to its ancestor called the TR2. These were produced from 1955 to 1957. After this came the corresponding TR3A. Production here ran from 1957 to 1961. Unlike the TR3, it had more options & specifications, like for instance a bigger grille, door handles, a lockable boot handle, and more. Total production came to 58,236 units.

This Triumph TR3A is from 1961. This is a real driver's car. It is finished in a white paint along with a black vinyl interior. It is in good motoring condition. There are 48-spoke wheels at the bottom of the car. New and sought-after side windows are included, 1 of which is still in its protective film. Apart from this, the car has nice chrome details that complete the picture. The black soft-top is also of nice quality.

The chassis number reads 'TS62384L'. This means it was produced in 1959, but not first registered until 1961.

In terms of maintenance, a lot has happened within the last few years. Important parts have been replaced such as:
- SU H6 Carburettors
- Radiator with electric fan
- Brake system
- Master brake cylinder
- Clutch cylinder

In addition, the steering box has been replaced for a later and improved TR4 rack and pinion steering box. This still needs to be aligned and adjusted. The original TR3 steering rack is still present. Also included, is a tonneau cover (with a faulty zip) and a cover for the soft top.

The engine block consists of a 2-litre 4-cylinder. This is mated to a 4-speed manual transmission. The engine runs well and the gearbox shifts smoothly.

As mentioned earlier, it is really a driver's car. The car has a hard base and good bodywork. However, the bodywork has not been professionally painted.

In terms of documentation, there are several invoices present from the last few years. This shows what has been done in terms of maintenance and various upgrades.
