The NSU Ro 80 was an upper class limousine. It appeared in 1967 with a revolutionary aerodynamic body that was ahead of its time. The high stern and the rounded shapes became the new trend in the 1980s. The 115 hp Wankel engine was also special. In 1963, NSU introduced the Wankel Spider as the first production car with a Wankel engine.

37,395 units of the NSU Ro 80 model were built between 1967 and 1977. The Ro 80 reached a top speed of 181 km/h and accelerated from 0 to 100 km/h in 13 seconds. In 1968 the RO80 was named Car of the Year.

This NSU RO 80, which is in very good condition, has been thoroughly overhauled both technically and cosmetically.
An extensive report is available here. The paintwork is in very good condition. The body has good fits of the sills, fenders, doors, hood and trunk lid.

In addition to the sheet metal renovation worth € 5,800, the following matters have been addressed:
- a newly built engine (Ro80 specialist company Einsiedel in Naila) with a new ceramic sealing strip.
- The automatic transmission has a new dry clutch and converter
- New struts front and rear
- Brakes overhauled
- Exhaust repair
- New wide 14" tires
- The steel rims have been renovated
- The carpet and upholstery have been refurbished
- Stove repaired.

The color combination is also very tasteful, the body is painted in red. A very nice contrast with the black velvet interior. The headliner is also very nice.
