HISTORY/DOCUMENTATION
The MG B: a popular sports car as it should be: lightweight, agile and a joy to drive. This Roadster is a very beautiful and original example, beautifully finished in a deep dark blue colour, beige mohair soft top, original chrome bumpers and wire wheels with a classic look. It was produced in 1973 and was delivered new in the sunny climate of the United States (like most of them). As a result, the car has remained rust-free. In 2003, the car was imported to the United Kingdom, where it has been cherished by enthusiasts. The car comes with many accessories, books and documentation. These include a rally trip meter, valuation reports, club information, price lists, old photos, catalogues, workshop manuals and a large number of informative books.

EXTERIOR
The car has been restored in the past, with the paintwork being sprayed neatly. The bodywork is very neat and free of rust and damage. The paintwork is eye-catching and strikingly fresh. In November 2025, the car was professionally polished, making it shine like never before. The “Union Jack” emblems adorn the side. The rubbers and lighting are also in good condition. The wire wheels have good tyres. The original chrome bumpers are free of significant damage. The chrome work is in very good condition. The windows are tinted. The soft top is also in good condition with no tears or damage, and the fastenings work well.

INTERIOR
The beige interior is still very attractive, without damage, and exudes an English atmosphere. Due to its year of manufacture, it is equipped with comfortable amenities such as headrests, lap belts and heating. The floor is covered with neat beige mats. The dashboard and gauges are also in good condition. The neat boot has room for the spare wheel.

TECHNICAL
The engine compartment looks neat and clean and accommodates the 1,798 cc 4-cylinder engine, which is equipped with a 5-bearing crankshaft. It is also equipped with electric ignition, an oil cooler and the front and rear suspension has been renewed. In addition, the rear leaf springs, exhaust system and clutch cylinder have been renewed. Technically, the MG has been well maintained and starts, drives and shifts gears excellently. In short: a magnificent example of a true driver's car, an iconic car that will put a smile on your face.

GENERAL INFORMATION
The MG B succeeded the MG A in 1963, a car that was already quite popular for MG - part of The British Motor Company (BMC) - with over 100,000 units sold. The MG B would be produced until 1980, with over half a million units ultimately being produced. In addition to the roadster, other variants were also produced, such as the MG B GT three-door 2+2 coupé (1965-1980), the six-cylinder MG C (1967-1969), and the eight-cylinder MG B GT V8. With its 1.8-litre engine and 95 hp, the MG B was considerably more powerful than the 1.6-litre MG A. In addition to performance and handling, the MG B had to score highly in terms of safety and affordability. This combination made the car a great success. The body is self-supporting and the low centre of gravity and use of aluminium body parts ensure a low weight of 970 kg and a high degree of manoeuvrability. The independent suspension system, in turn, enhances comfort. In short: a great success at the height of the British car industry. An ideal classic for touring, holiday trips or simply to cherish.
