The first generation of the car was unveiled on March 5, 1996 at the Geneva Motor Show. The XK was the long-awaited successor to the XJS that was already 22 years old. The introduction of the XK also marked the market launch of Jaguar's new AJ-V8 engine. The XK was available as a coupé and convertible and always equipped with a 4 liter V8 coupled to a 5-speed automatic. However, there was a choice of two power variants, 294 hp or 363 hp. The latter of the two is powered by a supercharger. The variant without supercharger was called XK8, the variant with supercharger was named XKR.

Inspired by the famous Jaguar E-Type, the great looking vehicle got some visual updates compared to the XK8, such as the mesh front grille, two hood vents to cool the engine, a discreet boot spoiler and beautiful 18-inch alloy wheels.

This original Dutch delivered XKR has a beautiful classic and sporty appearance. The British Racing Green paint is in neat condition. This forms a perfect combination with the leather Cashmere interior. Jaguar installed premium materials, from the Connely leather to the Walnut wood trim on the dashboard. Furthermore, the XKR cabin was a luxurious and cozy place to be. This model is in possession of luxurious materials such as a Harman Kardon sound system, heated seats, an electric roof, and many more options.

The included Jaguar leather folder contains all the original manuals that belong to the model. This also includes the completed maintenance booklet, which is also available.
