Beautiful 1953 Jaguar XK120 FHC with Matching Numbers.
Made in the beautiful color combination of Dark Blue 50A and cognac-colored leather interior.
According to the Heritage Trust Certificate, this XK120 was produced in November 1953. The Jaguar was shipped from the factory a month later and shipped to Jaguar importer Charles Hornburg in Los Angeles, California. This XK120 remained in the United States until 1992, where it was sold and then exported to Portugal.
Once in Portugal, the car was restored in great detail, removing the body from the chassis and rebuilding it.
The Jaguar is richly documented, there is a thick folder with various invoices, photos and detailed documentation of the restoration, Heritage Trust Certificate, FIVA Identity Card etc. with the XK120.
There is also a copy of the magazine Volante from July 1992, in which the history of this Jaguar is described, which attests to the quality of the restoration that was carried out at the time.
The Jaguar was delivered from the factory with wire wheels instead of the original steel wheels.
The car was then exported from Portugal to Greece in 2017 and taken over by its then owner. Both the exterior and interior are in excellent condition. The recent maintenance has done the Jaguar well, including the overhaul of the brakes and carburettors, a new fuel pump and renewing the fluids.
A beautiful, era-defining classic sports car, powered by one of the best engines of the 20th century.
