Jaguar has a long and fascinating history of building great GT cars and the then newest incarnation of this line, the XK, had a lot to offer. Its predecessor re-established Jaguar's large coupé customer base after the XJ-S lagged a little longer, and with rivals making significant advances, the XK must have been a huge step forward. Fortunately, this was the case and sales are encouraging. A slightly used XK will always attract attention and do all the Gran Turismo things better than any comparably priced car.
Here we are talking about the 5.0 version of the Jaguar XK. These were only introduced from 2009 onwards. This was quite an upgrade from its previous version in the form of the 3.5 or the 4.2. This particular XK is finished in a neat 'Ultimate Black' metallic paint versus a 'Caramel' leather interior which are still in like-new condition.
From both the optical and technical condition of this beautiful Jaguar, you can see that the owner has treated it with love. At the bottom of the XK are 19-inch 'Caravela' rims that complete the picture. The leather upholstery, metallic paint, wheels and engine compartment show hardly any signs of use from the past 13 years. At the back of the boot, a spare wheel can be found along with a tool-kit. The woodwork processed in the interior is still in very good condition and makes this XK unique.
Jaguar is mainly known for its valued luxury. This is certainly also reflected in this model. From the extensively customisable leather seats, to the Bowers & Wilkins sound system, navigation and wood inlays. This XK is a perfect combination of luxury and sportiness. The included 5.0-litre V8 engine produces an impressive 385hp along with 515nm of torque. It is mated to a ZF 6-speed automatic transmission. As a result, the Jaguar covers 0-100 in an impressive 5.5 seconds. The top speed is at 250 km/h.
It is also very resistant in different weather conditions. "Winter Mode" provides better control & handling for when slippery. Also available, is "Dynamic Mode". This provides stiffer suspension, more sensitive throttle & steering and produces a slightly sportier sound. Compared to the car's power and capabilities, a weight of "only" 1660kg is still relatively light. This is also reflected in the driving experience.
When it comes to documentation, several navigation CDs, inspections, original manuals and a service booklet are present. From this, it can be traced back that the XK originally came from Bremen Germany. The TÜV report shows that an inspection took place on 9-2-2022 at 49,674KM. At 50,121km, it had a minor service where oil and filters were changed. The Jaguar was recently registered for the first time in the Netherlands and is ready for new adventures.
The perfect combination of luxury and sportiness. All found in this Jaguar XK 5.0 !
