1966 was the last year Ford offered the original Mustang Fastback, although the Mustang had a great year of sales. In addition, the GT had racing stripes on the side that took the place of chrome rocker panels that gave the vehicle a serious racing look. Although other Mustangs in 1966 wore the Mustang Pony decal directly behind the front wheel arches, the GT Mustang had a special GT One of the most notable features of the 1966 Fastback Mustang are the in-car vents, which work in tandem with the fully functional 'silent-flo' interior ventilation system.
This Fastback was assembled at the Ford plant in Metuchen, New Jersey and has been registered since September 15, 1966.
