One of the most special Citroëns is very recognizable as a GS variant. The Birotor, of which 874 were built in 1974 and 1975, is the only series-produced Citroën to be equipped with a Wankel engine.
Main changes GS Birotor compared to the GS:
Body:
• bottom (due to modified exhaust)
• welded (and modified) inner screens in front
• other headlight holder (anti-vortex baffle)
• custom boulder catcher
• modified front subframe with connectors to rear subframe
Appearance:
• widened front and rear screens
• metal gray rims with special wheel covers
• gray grille with gold colored chevrons
• stainless steel exhaust tip
• aluminum sill fitting
• black/white decorative strip on the flanks
Interior:
• beige dashboard with round clocks
• modified beige console and gear lever
• moquette floor covering
• new front seats with attached headrests

It is estimated that about 270 of the originally 874 built GS Birotor are left. In France, 234 are known to the Club Rotatif. About ten in the Netherlands. In addition, there are still a small number of copies outside Europe.

The color combination of this GS is very tasteful, the body is painted in brown metallic. A very nice contrast with the mustard-coloured velor interior.

This Birotor is in very good condition and was restored between 2013 and 2015. The paintwork is still in very good condition. The body has good fits of the sills, fenders, doors, hood and trunk lid.
