A beautiful 1959 2CV with a rare ribbed hood that was only delivered up to and including 1960. With a 4-speed gearbox, ''suicide'' front doors and the original, matching numbers 425cc engine.
Exterior, interior and technically in very good condition! This 2CV was recently equipped with new engine oil, new 6v battery and new tires.

The Citroen 2CV. Mostly known as the “Duck” or “Ugly Duckling”. This iconic French model was created in 1935 with the French farmers as the target audience. To do this, it had to be affordable and reliable. The vehicle also had to be able to transport goods, potatoes, eggs and wine comfortably and safely on the unpaved roads.
The original idea was to present the “Deux Chevaux” in the Paris motor show in 1939, but because of the war this was canceled and it was later held in 1948. Production ran from 1949 to 1990.

For economy reasons, only one headlamp was mounted on the prototype. During the test drive, this caused confusion among oncoming traffic who thought they were dealing with a moped. This was then changed to two headlights.

Initially, the Duck had a power of 8 hp, but in the 1970s and 80s this was increased to a maximum power of 21 hp within the A models. This example has a beautiful blue paint that forms a nice combination with the white rims. The interior and the body are both in a very neat condition. The rare ribbed hood gives the car a nice original look. This French classic is ready to tour!
