The BMW Z3 was replaced by the corresponding Z4 in 2002. In the early years, the Z4 was only available in the Roadster version, but this changed in 2006 when the Coupe arrived. The Z4 has a larger body and a longer and wider wheelbase unlike the Z3. The suspension was also modified to be stiffer and the car was fitted with a sports package that made the steering stiffer. Some elements of the Z4 were borrowed from the BMW 3-Series, such as the more advanced multi-link suspension compared to the BMW Z3. The Roadster (also known as the E85) had a five-speed manual transmission, a six-speed manual transmission or a five-speed automatic. The coupe was available with a six-speed manual transmission or a six-speed automatic with shift paddles on the steering column.
This is an extremely neat Z4 Roadster 3.0i. It came in a 'Black-Sapphire' metallic paint along with a leather 'Oregon/beige' interior. As it was possible to tell from the title, the Z4 comes with the reliable M54 3.0 liter inline-six engine. This is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. Both the engine and the gearbox perform superbly, providing a comfortable and sporty driving experience. The car has a beige-colored soft-top that can be operated electrically from the interior. At the bottom of the car are very neat 17-inch alloy BMW LA Wheel/Double Spoke 103 rims surrounded by Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires with still plenty of tread.
The interior also features several interesting components. As mentioned earlier, it has a 6-speed manual transmission. This is operated with a chrome-colored shift lever that makes a nice and sporty combination along with the leather M sport steering wheel. Speaking of sport, there is an operable button of this as well. There is a Sport-Mode button available which makes for a slightly sportier driving experience. What else can be found in the interior are the chrome moldings that complete the look of the 2-seater.
The Z4 was built in 2006 and was first registered on Dutch license plates in 2015. There is a service book present that can prove the moments of maintenance from the beginning. This shows that the car was originally delivered in Italy. After this it has also been serviced in Germany. Finally from 2015 it was newly registered in the Netherlands and is now 7 years later, still owned by the same owner. The remaining documentation consists of several manuals and an inspection.
A sporty 2-seater ready for new adventures!
