The Austin Healey Sprite

Designed by Donald Healey to make sports car driving more affordable, the Sprite went into production in March 1958 at MG's Abingdon plant. The new car was officially introduced in Monte Carlo a few months later, just before the Monte Carlo Rally, underlining the brand's sporting intentions for the new car. The one-piece body featured a distinctive rear-hinged combined bonnet and wings, topped by twin 'frog's eye' headlamps, ensuring instant recognition and the now-familiar nickname.

The Sprite offered by us has a very extensive well-documented history, consisting of a folder, including workshop notes (worth € 5,000), club magazines and valuation reports.

The color combination is also very tasteful, the body is painted in Racing green. A very nice combination with the green interior. The black convertible top is also very beautiful.
In addition to the original steel hood, the hood support is also still present.

This Sprite was originally delivered new in the United States and registered with a Dutch license plate since 1991.

The body of this Sprite is sleek and intact. The sheet metal is original. The doors, sills, fenders, hood and trunk lid have fittings. Also the sills have not been welded.
The paintwork is in very good condition.
The car has recently been fitted with new side windows.
