HISTORY/DOCUMENTATION
A hot hatch like they are not made anymore these days: namely with a V6 engine with no less than 3.2-litre capacity. This example is one of 17 examples newly delivered on 5 March 2005 in Sweden. A total of about 5,000 examples of the GTA were produced, of which only about 2,200 came with a manual gearbox. On 7 March 2024, the car was imported to the Netherlands, where it underwent major maintenance including replacement of the timing belt. Maintenance invoices are present with the car. The car comes from an exclusive collection of a car collector.

EXTERIOR
The GTA is beautifully finished in light blue paintwork 'Azzurro Gabbiano' metallic with a black leather interior and original 18" alloy wheels. The paintwork is in very good condition. The chrome work and lighting are also still in fresh condition. The headlights are fitted with washers. At the rear, two chrome exhaust pipes show off. How could it be otherwise; because salt is not sprinkled in Sweden, which benefits the condition of the car. Thanks to the wider wheel arches, different bumpers and sportier wheels, there is a clear distinction from the regular models.

INTERIOR
The interior is also in excellent condition. Both the front and rear seats are upholstered in fine leather. Furthermore, the interior is equipped with nice options such as cruise control, air conditioning, seat heating and a BOSE audio system. In addition, the car has the original radio/CD player, electric windows and a multifunction steering wheel. The floor mats and headlining are also still neat.

TECHNICAL
Under the bonnet is the fantastic-sounding, transverse Busso V6 engine with 251 hp. That much power on the front-wheel-drive GTA sounds bizarre, but the car boasts amazingly good handling. The sound of this engine and its performance make every car enthusiast's heart beat faster. Indeed, the GTA sprints to 100 km/h in 6.3 seconds and has a top speed of just under 250 km/h. The sports suspension ensures tight handling. For a sportier look, some parts have been replaced with red ones, but the original black ones are present with the car. The 6-speed manual gearbox shifts wonderfully smooth and direct. Recently, the GTA has had a full service including replacement of the timing belt (a costly and labour-intensive procedure) and the fitting of new tyres.

GENERAL INFORMATION
The Alfa Romeo 147 GTA is the sporty variant of the three-door 147 model and was built from 2002 to 2005. This top model, with the traditional designation GTA, stands for Gran Turismo Alleggerita, meaning ‘lightweight top model’.
